buslist
This isn't PACE, but does anyone know how many buses were lettered for the Lombard Transit Authority? I believe 674 is a remaining element of this operation.

buslist
Dates to the mid 70s pre RTA I think, have a photo of a school bus so lettered.
Busjack
Dates to the mid 70s pre RTA I think, have a photo of a school bus so lettered. Probably then some long gone commuter shuttle operator going under a bogus name. Any official transit authority (other than CTA) would most likely have MTD in its name (even if not officially used). busfan2847
The Village of Lombard did sponser serveral routes (including what is now the 674) which were in the main contracted to Commuter Bus Systems until 1986. Some of their buses must have been lettered Lombard Transit Authority. Other routes in 1978 included:- 671 – North Lombard – Villa Park – introduced 12/5/78 discontinued 5/7/82 672 - Southeast Lombard – introduced 5/1/74, discontinued 5/28/93 676 – Lombard – Oak Brook Terrace – short lived service during late 1970’s
buslist
BTW CBS did use a GM old look on the 674 in the PM for quite a while. Loved coming home to ride that on the final leg of the commute.
