Two additional buses also became mobile food stores, but which ones is unknown at this time. All three were seen in late 2013 at Chicago Bus & Truck (33rd/Pulaski) stored, apparently under a mechanic's lien.6149 and 6186 went to Chicago Fire Dept. Seen at Fleet Services yard at Throop/Wabansia, they apparently were never used and were soon sold.As of early 2013, 9 6000's were still stored at South Shops, most with wreck damage:6029 - 6031 - 6043 - 6057 - 6095 - 6129 - 6227 - 6237 - 6246No further info on these nine is knownNEW6000.txt Quote

YoungBusLover Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 #6031 should still be at Kedzie unless it was moved recently since the 22nd of March and it appears to not have wreck damage. Quote
Guest Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 I recently began working at the fire academy. We took a trip today to a warehouse on the west side. Inside were several fire dept vehicles and ex-CTA Flxible #6163 painted all white. It is numbered CFD #292. Quote
