So where will the buses purchased with the other grants go? That should wipe out most of west 6323s with north getting electric busses some of its 6700s can replace the remaining 6323s and for the other grants go to the next division that has older Eldorados Quote

However, the next oldest set of those Eldorado are at Northwest. I'm not so sure about them getting any new buses while that garage is still in Des Plaines. I waa thinking that the 25500s that will be arriving would go to Southwest with their Eldorado migrating to West along with the 57xxs at North when they receive their electric buses. Quote

The existing orders are for about 66 40' hybrids. If you are assuming at least 17 of those at W, that's still 49 for somewhere else. The question is if any of these replace the 6377-6391 highway buses. The other thing is that Metzger said a couple of board meetings ago that the Wheeling garage will be hybrid first, then battery bus. So, that would be next. The timeline sort of assumes that these buses would be available about the same time as the Wheeling garage, so, notwithstanding the tweet, I think the ones on order are going to W. This assumes that these 36 nuses are in addition to the 80 or so 35 and 40 foot buses already on order. Edited November 26 by Busjack Although quoed 3 times by @jtrussel, futher reasearch reflected below and in the Gillig Hybrids topic indicates that these 36 are in addition Quote

So let's say North electric busses are successful there is surplus busses (at least half of North diesel fleet)that can go to west from north. North has about 52-53 6700s that given the routes they operate on definitely have way less miles then west 6300s as far as the highway Eldorados is there a plan to replace the now and with what I dont know 2 hours ago, Busjack said: If this is 36 buse, it isn't enough for the about 53 6323s at W, but there are about 53 6323s at W. Busjack Posted November 25 Report Posted November 25 The Pace press release for the FY2025 grant also says that a 2024 No or Low grant paid for 33 hybrid buses being delivered now, so I modify my prior post tothat extent. Also, it being a 2024 grant indicates that hybrid bus grants are not just the current administration. Quote
Busjack Posted November 26 Report Posted November 26 Expanding on the immediately prior post, the FY24 No or Low awards list has A Also, the reference to the maintenance facility and mechanics' training indicates one garage, which I surmise is West. Quote
