Danielsmusic
I can't find any information about the 154. I mean, I know how it's scheduled and how it operates, but if I were an out-of-towner, I would be very confused due to the lack of information. Does anyone know where CTA keeps the information publicly about the 154? Also, does the 128 still run after games and concerts?
Busjack
The 154 bus is basically just a parking lot shuttle imposed on the Cubs by the alderman in return for the Cubs getting some zoning relief. The deal is simply this--you pay the parking fee, and you get a ride. All an out of towner would need to know is where the parking lot is (and there are Cubs Parking signs in the area, including on the Edens Expressway). I don't know why the CTA is running essentially a charter service, but that's what it is. If the 128 runs, it would be on the CTA website, generally under the News Releases. jesi2282
The #154 schedule and map can be found on the Bus Schedule page on CTA's web site. But CTA only shows the info during the Cubs Baseball Season. As far #128 it still operates after Bears Games Only. CTA use to have a schedule and map but they have not had it up in a while. As Busjack said the only info you can find on #128 would be when CTA puts up a Customer Alert or Press Release. As far as concerts, that is covered by #130. I agree with all of this. What I do have to add though, is that the only reason it has a route number in the first place, is to get around the feds saying no charters or private operations. By putting a route number on this, it is "considered" fixed route and they can run it without interference or fear of losing federal money. Same with the Soldier Field shuttles to/from the Metra stations.
