Ad Wraps in Wrong Places

A real funny sight today at Wrigley. A Forest Glen 6000 ad-wrapped in White Sox garb. I could have had the perfect pic, as the bus stopped at the corner of Addison and Clark westbound under the Wrigley marquee, but I couldn't get the cell phone out in position. I didn't really realize what I was looking at at first, and when I did, the pic was gone. It was a little bit ironic and comical.

Question is, why would you put a White Sox ad wrap on a Forest Glen bus instead of 77th street or Archer Ave ?????

Because most CTA workers are Sox fans and this is a chance to put the whammy on the Cubbies. Looks like it worked!! I heard Kerry Wood blew the 9th inning yesterday. Seriously though those wraps are all throughout the city. (at Archer too) It's just a coinsidence that you saw it. There's not too many at Fg I've seen more on Archer garage routes. Speaking of ad wraps there was a complete ad wrap for Jimmy John's on #6736 that I saw. It's also on TMC #4582. It says on the side not just fast freaky fast. CTA needs to save that wrap for it's BRT service.

I was by Forest Glen over the weekend, and there were several 6000s parked on Armstrong Ave. with the Sox ad. I didn't make the possible Addison St. connection. However, I'm sure there are some north side residents who don't follow a team that hasn't won a World Series in 100 years (and is celebrating that in Square D commercials).

Obviously the "why" is that the Sox paid the CTA's ad agency to do it. But it is a curious juxtaposition.

Also, at FG was a 6000 bus with a Google Transit ad wrap.

And one of those parked on Armstrong was a 608x, obviously from 103 to 74 to FG, still with a 6 sticker. The ad may have traveled with it.
