qwantae
Last Thursday evening, I got off at Washington/ S. Wacker via #56, I've seen bunch of people waiting on #14 Jeffery Exp. with no #14 listed on the bus stop sign at Wash/ Canal. Then I had to walk back to Canal to comfront those #14 passengers to catch it at the Clinton/Madison, but they continued to stood there like they didn't believe me because the #56 driver lied to the passengers that the #14 bus still stops at Canal/ Wash. So later after me seeing 2 #14s turned at Clinton, then the one after did stop at Canal and picked up the passengers, I guess the driver was going to or forgot to turn at Clinton, he must have seen the passengers at the bus stop at Canal, so to me it was a good idea and I hope that the driver did tell the passengers that #14 doesnt stop there anymore. But anyways, since Routes #20/56/60 is back on Washington, why isn't #14 back with them? I was hoping that it would be back on Washington so that I wouldn't have to walk two blocks to Monroe from my school at Franklin/ Washington. The CTA would probably reason that Block 37 construction hasn't progressed enough to accommodate the 14. Only the 20, X20 and 56 have returned to operation down the full stretch of Washington. The N60 operates Monroe, State, and Washington. Plus the 124 and 157 haven't returned to Washington either. They still operate via Wacker Drive. trainman8119
There are notices on the bus stop sign informing those of the 14 reroute via Clinton to Monroe. If people want to continue to stand there and wait and be foolish, that is fine, and probably normal too.

Yesterday, while out in Downtown, I saw the #14s going westbound on Madison to Jefferson and then they came back onto Washington and went east from Jefferson. My experience has taught me that people don't listen because they're ignorant....and it also gives them an excuse to blame CTA for their own stupidity. I once picked up this polish gentleman on route #56A at Milwaukee and Elston northbound, took him down to Devon and Avondale where I had notified him it was the end of the line. He approaches me in pretty decent English and says, "I want to go to Milwaukee and Addison". I CLEARLY tell him that he had went the wrong direction, stay on and ride back to Jefferson Park and catch the mainline #56 bus. What does this character do? He says, "Oh, ok!", and he gets off, and starts walking around looking. Did I leave him there? Yes. Let the lesson be learned.

I stood there not knowing the bus was coming, eventually I called and asked though. I believe that CTA has given minor information about the reroute, and at least should have posted notices.
