ctaboy
I got off at 79th Red Line and i decided to take a walk to 79th/Wentworth,and I saw a 95 Flxible that said F??? and that ment it was assigned to Forest Glen, and I saw a 95 new flyer at the garage the new flyer buses are only assigned to North Park Garage, then I saw a new Flyer artic,I'm just now noticing that the New Flyer artics are now being assigned to 77th Garage, but still, they're buses at 77th Garage that are not assigned at that Garage, like the 95 Flxibles, the 95 Flyers, and Optima Opus buses. CTA has the South Shops facility at 78th & Vincennes, which is roughly the same spot as the 77th Garage but specifically the west part of that vicinity. That's where they do maintenance on all the buses in the system (not just the ones that are assigned at 77th).

It sounds like a couple ctaboy described were heading in that direction (at least figuratively). See the pictures in this post. Of course, the Optima is probably in the South Shops for repairs, as Circle Seven indicated. Pretty much anything assigned to 77th would be in the barns or near the driveway to the transportation building.
Guest
CTABOY, this is not uncommon for buses operating from garages they arent assigned to, it happens alot often than you think. But because 77th is the main heavy maintenance bus shops for the entire bus fleet, chances are best you would see a bus from another garage operating on a route from 77th. A bus seems to end up in the mix!
Busjack
Since the following provides more explanation to this topic: Every weekday, two runs from each garage go to South Shops in the morning, and two runs from each garage leave South Shops in the afternoon. The runs operate in regularly scheduled service, using operators from their home garage. They just happen to have a different pull in/pull out location.Any reason? At FG also a #91 Austin run would pullin to SS. Man, that's a long trip.
