dann
Some souvenirs from a recent trip to Denver. Sorry I couldn't get more pics; I was just about to enter Coors Field for a Rockies game at the time, and I had no other opportunities to get more pics. MVTArider
Well it appears the GILLIG Low Floor is the bus model replacing all the older Phantoms. Or at least that's the only newer 40' model i've seen in the RTD fleet as of late.

Hopefully they are not on all of the buses.

MVTArider
It's also interesting how similar Wausau Metro Ride livery is to Denver RTD's: I'm guessing it was copied. I hope Wausau Metro didn't pay some consultant thousands of dollars for a new unique livery design :P
MVTArider
1805 at the local Walmart during delivery: One of 12 XD60 being delivered for the new Free MetroRide in downtown Denver. Also this is one of 52 XD60 units on order to begin replacement of the NABI 436 units.

It is somewhat surprising that RTD would have at least permanent decals for a particular service, as well as artics for a free service. However, from reading the linked article, maybe that shows what can be done with intermodal transportation if one agency is in charge. We, of course, have neither in Chicago.
