I know that one is done and would like to know the fleet number, so I can pass it on to my buddies. At least no one was hurt. Milwaukee lost a bus this year due to fire. sw4400 Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 The bus was on Lake Shore Drive, so I cannot tell you the exact type, as several use this "expressway". But these are the types most often seen on LSD. NABI 60-LFW Flxible Metro(5300) TMC RTS(4400) The TMC's have been turning into roasted buses lately. Hopetunnel has pictures of 4784 and 4692 after fires burned them up. I think these buses will be gone before 2009(their estimated retirement year). :( Quote

Busjack Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 From the picture on the CBS2 site (following the link; see the smoke coming from below the second window from the rear and the soot over it, and no soot on the back), it looks like a brake fire, and thus no different than the RTSs, 6510, and the one Pace Orion VI mentioned elsewhere in this forum. Also, I doubt that there will be any report, unless CTA decides that there is something systemically wrong with its brakes. There are tons of junk in the 77th & Perry yard, and apparently no accounting of it (at least to the public). Quote
