2600s on Green Line?

On some of the weekends when the Red Line runs through the loop elevated, they run 6-car Red Lines.

Today, I saw a train made up of:

2 2600-series cars

2 2400-series cars

2 3200-series cars

It was running to Ashland/63rd. I figured it must've been through-routed from the Purple Line. Also, today I rode a through-routed train from Ashland/63rd to Kimball.

If its Ashland 63rd, it is a Green Line train, not a Red Line one. It being 6 cars would tend to reinforce that.

Sorry, my post was worded badly. I have two separate points:

1. On certain weekends, elevated Red Line trains (2600-series trains) will run six cars. At the northernmost part of the South Side Main Line, it will appear that the Green Line is running 6-car 2600-series trains; in actuality, it is just the Red Line reduced to six cars.

2. COMPLETELY SEPARATE: I had an interesting experience. I rode a 6-car train of 3200s from Ashland/63rd to Kimball.
