Kevin Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 Nova is apparently working on an articulated version of its LFS bus, with the first customer being STM in Montréal. Here's a photo of a prototype taken by a member of the Canadian Public Transportation Discussion Board. Nova will also supposedly be offering diesel-electric hybrid buses in 2008. Quote
sw4400 Posted February 2, 2006 Report Posted February 2, 2006 I doubt the CTA will procure any of these Buses from NOVABus, as I think they have enough Articulateds in the fleet. The only way the CTA may procure some is if they take some NABI's out of service for emergency overhauls. Quote
Busjack Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Also, Nova left the US transit market after finishing the CTA job. They have a contract to supply buses for the province of Quebec, but since they closed their Schenectady NY plant, no longer meet Buy America requirements. (For reference, see the article from The Business Review.) Quote
The Don of All Buses Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 I sure hope they redesign the front end of that bus, the LFS looks as if someone shaved back some of the windshield, and those headlights are so bland.... Quote
