dp1
Living in the Louisville area makes me miss CTA. The public transit here would make you miss Pace services. For those who are interested, I wanted to post to you the Transit Authority of the River City (TARC) system map published this summer. Hope you all enjoy. http://www.ridetarc....ystemMap_13.pdf Quote Edit

geneking7320
I visited Louisville in 2008. At that time they had Flxible Metros and Gillig Low Floors in operation. What are they running now?

dp1
I do not know the make of TARC's older buses, but the system is adding hybrid electric buses to it's fleet now. Also, they are looking at adding a bus tracker app as well to encourage more people to take transit.
dp1
Sorry if the link doesn't work. I'll repost it here and hope it works. http://www.ridetarc.org/uploadedFiles/TARC_SystemMap_13.pdf Or the TARC website http://www.ridetarc.org/
dp1
Lastly, Pace may not be the best, but there are TARC routes that makes Pace's service look very good. Louisville public transit is nearly nonexistent on Sunday's and Holidays.
Scionic
I lived in Louisville for a couple years. I actually miss it a lot, but TARC? I don't think I took it once. It didn't go anywhere near where I lived, and took these convoluted routes to get around town. The city is really set up for a car - everything is 20 miles away from everything else, and the smallest highway is like 4 lanes wide. Railwaymodeler
I'd like to send you to Albuquerque, then... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JE37e1eK2mY Weird Al doesn't seem to think Albuqurque is so bad. Some divisions at Pace aren't bad, but North is like being in hell.
dp1
If TARC was ran like Pace south division, most residents would be ok with that. You don't see 60+ minutes waits on any of those routes.
