jesi2282
Lately I've been seeing westbound 77 Belmont buses leaving the Kimball Blue Line Station then turning North on Kimball, the 1st time I saw this a 6400 bus come out of the station and kept going north on kimball, the 2nd time I saw a 6000 coming out and it took Kimball then turned on to I-90, are these buses to Forest Glen? (the destination sign stood as 77 Belmont (flip) to Cumberland)
trainman8119
Sounds like they were going back to the garage....but I don't know why a westbound bus would terminate at Kimball....usually the eastbounds do. It is possible that there was a bus swap involved with the disabled bus being the ones you saw going in.
MetroShadow
sometimes they are short-turns at Belmont. Instead of Central, where most Forest Glen buses are being short-turned or relieved, 77 is the furthest southern east-west route and is also very long in distance. Since buses are tough to manage on time anyway, the short turns are usually at Kimball, or the deadheads would either start or finish at that point anyway.
