Thoughts, thanks. Since any idea of the Fitzgerald Task Force to abolish all of the agencies seems dead, I would say that Pace is the least that should be abolished. It seems to do its job, something CTA and Metra seem incapable of doing. If there is procurement fraud, call the Inspector General. Insinuendo isn't evidence, though.

Insinuendo isn't evidence, though. So, the author claims "we don't know if the allegations are true", but jumps to the conclusion that Pace should become part of Metra, even though he and Busjack both noted that Metra is "hardly a measure of good government".He also claims this would "save millions in overhead" without any real support for that claim.Obviously not something to be taken seriously. Busjack
So, the author claims "we don't know if the allegations are true", but jumps to the conclusion that Pace should become part of Metra, even though he and Busjack both noted that Metra is "hardly a measure of good government"....Since you note the "merge with Metra" angle, aside from it not being an example of good governance, it is questionable whether they can run a railroad, but it has been consistently argued on these types of forums that they have no interest in running a bus system. Could one imagine Metra stewing over such things as Pulse and wi-fi on buses? Metra doesn't even have control of its feeders.
