Busjack
Obviously in the early 1950s (1951 and 1952 Chevys). What's interesting there from a transit standpoint is while the street car tracks are still there, there are also several Twin Coach buses (presumably 5000s) on the route. Lind's book has weekend bus service in 1951 and full bus substitution in 1952, so if the streetcar system was still in use, it was quickly on the way of coming down. Again, to get the most of this, click on the picture, click on full screen, and then click on the magnifying glass.
andrethebusman
Note the price of gas - 25.5. I guess the .9 business hadn't caught on yet in 1951???
