renardo870
If the city ever decided to make Lake Park Ave bidirectional between 46th and 42nd Place, I would like to see 43 43rd St to be extended from 43rd/Oaklenwald to 47th/Lake Park Terminal to connect with 2 Hyde Park Express, 6 Jackson Park Express, 28 Stony Island and 47 47th Street bus routes and the Metra Electric. The routing would be as follows from 43rd/Oaklenwald Senior Building...EB 43rd, NB Oaklenwald, WB 42nd Place, SB Lake Park and EB 47th to Terminal. WB from 47th/Lake ParkTerminal NB Lake Park EB 43rd, NB Oaklenwald, WB 42nd Place SB on Berkeley and WB on 43rd to 47th Red Line and Root/Halsted. If CTA wanted that connection, the city doesn't need to make Lake Park bidirectional. You just go EB 43rd, NB Lake Park, EB 42nd Pl, SB oakenwald, WB 46th, SB Lake Park. The NB trip would go Lake Park, EB 43rd and over the current routing for WB 43rd.

I forgot that Oaklenwald is a two way street to 46th St. As long as the senior citizens building is being served, they won't lose bus service. Anthony Devera
The turn at Oakenwald near 46th might be difficult for buses, so one way to mitigate that would be to ban parking near that turn. Additionally, the speed bumps on Oakenwald should be removed. If bus service on Lake Park and Oakenwald becomes feasible, then maybe the 28 local and 43 could be combined into one route. This would restore the 28 connection with 47th Red Line.

Tcmetro
It might be simpler to run southbound on Greenwood and northbound on Lake Park.
