Someone was passing a rumor on another forum that 2378 was rehabbed at Bus and Truck and became 2292 to get the 35 footers in order. Any substance to that? Also, why all the CTA 7500s in that shop? Any substance to that? I don't think that would be possible because, if I am not mistaken, 2292 is (or was) a 40 footer. Quote

The rumor was that to get all the 35 footers in order, 2292 was renumbered 2378 and 2378 was renumbered 2292. As mentioned, this was an unsubstantiated rumor. Quote

I saw 2378 this morning at Mount Prospect. It has only one small window so that makes it still 35'. Quote
