I was at the inter section of 79 th and Pulaski today and i saw something tha I think is shall we say FUNNY i would like your help with this question... I say a bus going down Pulaski heading toward Ford City Mall i think it was a FIXABLE and the number was something like 62** or 64** and it had the route number of 44 Racine on the desplay. CircleSeven Posted April 2, 2008 Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 First of all, as of March 23rd the 53A South Pulaski route is carried by 74th & Wood Garage. 74th have the Flxs, 6200 through 6329. It's obvious you would see a Flxable. Second, sometimes those Amber Led signs don't work so the sign would freeze. So they would have paper with the route's number and name pasted on the bus's windshield. It's not all that funny. Sometimes I see many buses with frozen signs. If it is a 74th Garage route like CircleSeven reports(I'm pretty sure he's right, I don't really view the route lists that often) then it is totally 6000-Series Flxibles(some 6000's, all of the 6200's and 6300's that are still in service). I don't think he was about a Flxible bus funny (yet he did misspell Flxible), but he thought that the frozen amber led sign stating the 44 Racine on a bus that was operating on the 53A Pulaski funny. I don't think that was amusing because I see buses most of the time and it happens like every day. It doesn't happen on every bus but it will always be a few here and there that have a frozen sign.
