Ymm.. NO. There are no 4000s at my place (chicago av). Also i hope we dont get any for a bit. We have way to much flyers!

Looks like you guys just have to get used to that. You have buses models that are on the retirement chop block and that's what they've been getting replaced with. Not trying to be crass but it's a part of the job to learn new equipment when it's time retire buses that have run their course in usefulness no matter how attached you've become with driving those old buses. Plus with the recent spotlight put on bus safety, that only increases the since of urgency to push the old out and bring in the new.

Want to swap them back with Archer? ;)

Won't comment on the observation at the top of the topic without more confirmation.

I'll drink to that idea; as an everyday rider on the #62 Archer, I'm getting a little sick of the Novas. :P

I would agree on the #4000 sighting on the #54. What was the number of the bus, if you happened to catch it?

Personally, "a little sick" would be an understatement.

I saw 4000 and 4001 on La Salle this morning. Why would Kedzie loan a 4000 to

Chicago....might we have some more of the wonderful garage swapping starting

again. I won't doubt a rider who actually rode on a bus on a route here. Once again,

anything is possible. Could be a trainer, too !!!!

Sorry for my "understated" comment, but I don't absolutely hate riding a Nova; I just wish to ride a New Flyer occasionally when it was possible, for variety purposes most.

I would agree with the loaner idea most, because Chicago Ave. has been a candidate for the BRT service, and sending it out on Cicero probably was a good idea, since it is a good long stretch of a route, as with Chicago Ave. I'm assuming (since I have never ridden #66 Chicago nor have I been on Chicago Ave. on any ride of any sort; not going to comment any further or provide inaccurate information).
