TMC-RTS-08 Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 These were my favorite buses in the CTA fleet, but now their gone. I wish I could've rode them more and gotten more pics of them. Loved the sound of the Detroit Diesels they had. I will make a tribute video for the CTA RTS with pics and video I've taken from 2003-08. :( Quote
ryanbytes Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 On a hot summer night in 2007 I met my ex at her work as I usually did and we pushed our way onto a packed RTS that was running on Clark. After a while somebody got up and she got a single seat. I was in the aisle next to her gathering my courage as I held the bar tight for support both mentally and physically. On that groaning bus, while we got to smell the exhaust blowing in one of the windows somebody somehow opened, I told her I loved her. The romantic relationship didn't last but the friendship we have is stronger than ever. I also turned her into a bus geek . We were both a little sad to hear the news today. As the numbers dwindled we would text each other if we saw an RTS. Now there will be no more texts about the bus that was so special to us. :( Quote
