CTA favorite number is 5 19 routes BEGIN with the number 5: 50,51, 52, 52A, 53, 53A, 53AL, 54, 54A, 54B, X54, 55, 55A, 55N, X55, 56, 56A, 57, 59 19 routes END with the number 5: N5, 15, 35, 55, 55A, 55N, X55, 65, 75, 85, 85A, 95E, 95W, 125, 135, 145, 155, 165, 205 NP - Only garage with ALL New Flyers FG - Only garage with 3 different types of buses (NF, Optima, Flxbles) K - Only garage without an "owl" route. 6- Only garage without a downtown route Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What are these concrete road pads I see being installed at CTA bus stops?. I first noticed them a few days ago along Vincennes at 103rd. What are these concrete road pads I see being installed at CTA bus stops?. I first noticed them a few days ago along Vincennes at 103rd. And this morning theres a crew putting concrete at three SB Narragansett by stops near Wright College. If they are on the street, the theory is that heavy buses coming to a screeching halt at the bus stops deform the asphalt. And since the main thing ARRA is buying is asphalt... (but I digress) I remember similar in Rochester, N.Y. However, since they didn't really believe in concrete there, the pads were usually brick pavers. There's an older one at Mil/Central NB that's cracking up. I guess it gets too much bus traffic. The new thing that's happening this year is that there putting those at the side street intersections versus the busier traffic light intersections. There's an older one at Mil/Central NB that's cracking up. I guess it gets too much bus traffic. The new thing that's happening this year is that there putting those at the side street intersections versus the busier traffic light intersections. ( I think that's a little overkill) They have those on Addison and Narragansett around that area. Wow, its funny because I like a stated before I never noticed it up until a few days ago.
