Just saw on bus tracker on route 155 a bus was listed as number 1. when it past where I was it really was number 1769.

Same thing happened on route 111. it said 1 and when it passed by it was nova 6620.

When service is done to the IVN (if they have to swap it out) the tech has to put in the vehicle ID, the tech probably forgot. The default is 1.

That means the bus will always be "number 1" in your book!

Bus tracker does not indicate the extended weekend beach service for 63,72 & 78. I thought this was to be effective May 28 except when the beaches are closed. Are they closed?

In another bit of Bus Tracker oddness, 1492 was displayed as being on the 14 earlier during the PM rush twice simultaneously 15 minutes apart from itself. That's according to the arrival times anyway. The bus icons for both instances were not displayed on the map at the time.

I got the feeling this has to do with the 31st St. rerouting you brought up elsewhere. In doing various looking around in response, I wasn't seeing anything between 31st and Roosevelt on 6 and 14, and at this moment, the only possible bus is at 31st and LSD. Then that one disappeared.

Unlike Pace's Webwatch, this doesn't seem to show off route buses. Then I figure that the off route buses must be messing up the prediction system.

The other weird thing I noted is that the bookmark I had directly to the map page, http://www.ctabustra.../displaymap.jsp no longer loads the Google Map, but if one goes to the transitchicago.com home page, and clicks through, or just starts with the main BusTracker page (http://ctabustracker...ustime/home.jsp), the Google Map does load. The last link is only to javascript, which opens a new window without a url box. Guess I have to change the bookmark.

That's possible because when I glimpsed it, the first 1492 was supposed to be approaching Madison & Clinton northbound at that moment with the other '1492' fifteen minutes behind. Then clicking Monroe & Canal southbound, it was supposedly arriving in eight minutes and then again 23 minutes after that.
