chicagopcclcar Posted August 25, 2012 Report Posted August 25, 2012 Cameras ready....here's a "Heads Up." There will be a private charter of the CTA 2200s on Sunday (rain forcast). Sorry, I don't know the scheduling or routes. David Harrison Quote
chicagopcclcar Posted August 26, 2012 Author Report Posted August 26, 2012 The charter left Forest Park at 0915 bound for Ashland/63rd via Morgan Middle. I caught the charter going NB on the Green line over the Dan Ryan Expressway, six cars!!!! with about a dozen riders plus the crew. David Harrison Quote

chicagopcclcar Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Posted August 27, 2012 Somebody has spent too much time on Railpictures.net ;-) GUILTY....The photos mostly of the CTA 'L' are under my name, now numbering 100. Go to the homepage, find my name in the pull-down menu. Enjoy. http://www.railpictures.net/ David Harrison 1 Quote

See Tea Eh Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 Were there really only a dozen riders on the train? Quote
Piesciuk Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012
Were there really only a dozen riders on the train?

No, there was about 30 or 35. Quote
See Tea Eh Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Even still, that's awfully low for a charter. Either the charter sponsor must have some deep pockets for a joyride, or the fare for the charter was ridiculously high. Quote
geneking7320 Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Tangentially related to this thread; I was at IRM Monday (8/27/2012)and one of the volunteers said IRM will be getting some 2200s. :) Quote
