andrethebusman
Who is running #895 Schaumburg-Chicago Ridge and from where? Usual equipment seems to be 5700-series cutaways and 1950-series front-engine jobs, though all have full 895 wraps. How many 1950's are there anyway? Usual equipment seems to be 5700-series cutaways and 1950-series front-engine jobs, though all have full 895 wraps. How many 1950's are there anyway? Coach USA. Someone riding it said it was Chicago Trolley & Doubledecker, a Coach USA company. Downers Grove had 0001-0005, which were yanked for 2600s, sat at South Holland a while, and then were identified by someone else as being on 895. Also, you could have done a search of the forum instead of opening a new topic.
PACE NORTHWEST
According to a passenger notice that came out, starting November 24th, Route 895 will be operated by the Southwest Division.

Also has a Flex in Rosemont and says standard blue Pace buses. So, I suppose they'll use 2800s. So any betting pool on where the 1950s (former DG) are going to turn up next? Busjack
Doesn't First have other routes where the ex-DG buses could be utilized? Not really. All of their routes are 2600s (30 footers). MV now has the Westmiont contract (660s) and while 668 and 669 are 5700s (small paratransits), that's all they need. Rest of their routes are also 2600s. Someone also posted that those buses were unsuited for feeder service because the engines clogged up. So, unless there is a service similar to 895 instituted, I don't know. Maybe despite all the rigamarole about their acquisition, they have hit their service life (budget says acquisition date 2008). Also, that route was operated by Coach USA, which apparently gets them out of the Pace contractor business.

Sounds like it also maybe explains Busjack's sighting of 2787-92 down there through Webwatch.
west towns
Maybe the ex dg buses go to rosemont shuttle?
Busjack
Maybe the ex dg buses go to rosemont shuttle? Might be a bet. Apparently 5700s are too small.
