busfan4022 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Today i saw two New Flyers at 77th garge, they were parked outside. Anyone know why? They were the 5800 series. Quote
Buslover88 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Either they needed to get Fixed or it's there New Garage. Quote
busfan4022 Posted June 5, 2006 Author Report Posted June 5, 2006 Yeah, if they needed to get fixed. Why so far down south? Quote
Buslover88 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Have no Idea...or maybe it's there New Garage -__- Quote
brucejdetw Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 The CTA's South Shops maintenance bus facility is located right next to 77th Garage. It's the place where all the major rehabbing of buses occurs. Individual garages handle the light repairs, such as changing oil, replacing mirrors, etc. Major repairs get sent to South Shops. This is why you'll see buses of all types sitting around the garage. Quote
Busjack Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 They're getting fixed, no doubt. So they won't have puppies (or kitties)? Quote
RIPTA42 Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 Too late... The question is, is it really more cost-effective to nurture them to full size rather than simply procuring new buses? Quote
MetroShadow Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 So they won't have puppies (or kitties)? Judging from the pic above, the fixing is happening AFTER they gave birth :-p Quote
