it was never in the boneyard, bus been sitting on the send home lane since thursday

I know 1787 was in the boneyard on Sunday afternoon when I looked it behind the leaves which is why I couldn't get a picture. It probably sat there for  a few hours then they put it back on the send home lane by Sunday evening, I think they brought it to the boneyard for a few hours since they probably were moving buses out. It was confusing but clearly by Monday it was back in the send home lane.

As someone who works at 77th and this is where the return home lane buses are parked I can literally tell you that this bus sat there for several days and wasn't moved at all. Whatever bus you thought you saw wasn't #1787.

At this point ima revisit and see what bus is sitting there at that location

Has 1970 been retired? Or it’s coming back?

#1970 was at SS for mechanical maintenance but I'm not sure how long that will take, it might be getting prepped for retirement similar to #1966,79 and #2000.

#1979 isn’t deemed retired yet neither is #2000 as both still show up under C’s active roster

I passed by 2000 last week it's on the south fence it already has LTH and just now has it been removed from the roster on Buswatch. 1979 last ran out of Kedzie on 6/28. Also for FG 1653 has not run prior to 1657's last run on 6/20

Retirement is in progress but in the meantime your garage mechanics have a lack of maintaining them which is why sometimes buses act up the minute you take it out on the street, very similar to how you don’t take care of your car how you should which that can shorten it’s longevity for example. Before the rust issue became severe, your garage have beat the 💩out of the option 3 New Flyers while y’all still have many artics defunct down south.

#1589 is a good bus, haha. Send it back down to 77th where it belongs along with #1585. CTA won't have any funding for new equipment until after they give the #1000s and #7900s there overhauls.
