Updated the retirements and there was a big jump with 3rd/4th options biting the dust with more #8350s entering service. So far I have a headcount of 286 which leaves the fleet at 743 left active. Now baring maintenance of a few the number should reach 300+ by early summer.

#1423 as well that bus got mashed into the L structure

Also what else was missed was #1272 which is on LTH so basically retired.

I also noticed that 1642 is missing from the list, 1642 was retired in 2023 and for whoever works on Buswatch, add 1642 as retired as it says it's not retired on the list.

Whats the number of the NF that was badly wreaked when it was still pretty new and then heavily repaired a few years later during the 1000 series overhaul it was 14-- I think? Wonder is that bus is still running

That was 1482. Remarkably, it is still active at 74th, having run yesterday afternoon and evening.

Yeah I ride or spot 1482 fairly often on the 9 and X9. On the retirement front, it's no surprise that so many of the buses pulled from the active roster were former buses of K, C and NP given the latest rounds of deliveries of 8350s from late summer last up to now were focused mainly on the those three. C once again was a higher focus than K, and NP is of course the most recent garage on the list to start getting 8350s officially assigned new.

U said add or eliminated?

To eliminate those 4 buses (not 1272) off the active list and to get them retired and crossed out.

1806 was at SS a few weeks ago but is back in service.

as of right now here’s what’s status unknown

1761 at NP - last ran 2/14

1898 last ran January

1752 and 1683 were OOS for at least a week (Kedzie)

Chicago sent 1929 to SS last week with no return.

1761 at NP - last ran 2/14

1898 - retired

1752 - south fence

1683, 1929 - active

As of right now before I find out more later this week here’s the flyers as of rn week that are OOS in the range with no word on them yet.

1653 - back in service

1666 sent to SS 3/12

1744 - back in service

1750 - back in service

1752 like mentioned above is at south fence it has everything intact so far

1761 still OOS over a month now

1807 boneyard like mentioned above I don’t know if that’s returning bc last time I was there it was fresh into the boneyard

1968 - back in service

2019 OOS since 2/26

the bus watch guy seems to be MIA as he hasn’t added the retirements from last month in yet.

Here is the current roster for buses between 1630 and 2025 that are still active, I'm not including anything I mentioned above not bolded with back in service for an accurate count.

Forest Glen: 1630, 1631, 1632, 1633, 1641, 1653, 1655, 1657, 1660, 1663, 1735 (11)

Kedzie: 1673, 1676, 1677, 1678, 1683, 1688, 1691, 1701, 1714, 1715, 1721, 1722, 1724, 1726, 1727, 1734, 1736, 1743, 1750, 1755, 1758, 1760, 1783, 1803, 1809, 1835, 1843, 1846, 1874, 1875, and 1895 (31)

North Park: 1718, 1719, 1720, 1725, 1744, 1762, 1764, 1767, 1768, 1769, 1777, 1780, 1787, 1788, 1789, 1793, 1795, 1798, 1801, 1804, 1806, 1818, 1822, 1826, 1830, 1832, 1838, 1839, 1853, 1855, 1860, 1862, 1863, 1865, 1867, 1872, 1873, 1878, 1879, 1880, 1881, 1891, 1932 (43)

Chicago: 1900, 1902, 1904, 1906, 1909, 1912, 1913, 1914, 1915, 1917, 1919, 1920, 1929, 1941, 1950, 1954, 1956, 1957, 1962, 1964, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1970, 1975, 1979, 1980, 1982, 2000, 2001, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2020, 2024, 2025 (37)

In total, there are 122 units left, which is only about 30% of this range still active. I'd imagine most of these will be out of service by the end of the year, with about 25 or so being active by January of 2026.
