I remember a few reports of those cars on the blue line previously on this forum. It sounds like they are just an anomaly, probably just means they had extra plastic inserts at one time. They're the same as the ones on the folding seat opposite the operator's cab, right? Quote
Tcmetro Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 I've noticed more and more of these plastic seat inserts as opposed to the fabric ones on the Blue Line. I hope it is a fleetwide thing, at least for the Blue. Quote
artthouwill Posted September 13, 2017 Report Posted September 13, 2017 2904 still has the cloth inserts on the Blue Line. Quote
Tcmetro Posted October 10, 2017 Report Posted October 10, 2017 An article about the plastic inserts: https://m.chicagoreader.com/chicago/cta-cloth-seat-moisture-transit-authority-pilot-test-plastic/Content?oid=32076841 Blue line will be completed next year. Testing on Orange and Brown lines. Quote
