I have wondered if CTA Bus and Rail controllers are unionized? And are they promoted bus/rail operators or are they hired from the outside? Thanks.

If they are cta employees, they will be considered ahead of the outside. But to be a controller, you have to have cta  supervisory experience of a few years, I think 2. I know a cta controller and they were first an operator, then supervisor and finally a controller. Pay is good in the 40/hr range.

They are not unionized.
