cta5658
Today while my mom took me to get my locks done on 65th/Cottage Grove, i saw some inactive 6000's sitting in the 103rd Garage Backlot with the Retired NABI's. i thought the 6000's were put in the now inactive archer. i wonder why they were in the 103rd Garage back lot? There are also Flxibles in the back of Kedzie's garage in the outdoor area. I saw them last week. I'm pretty sure Archer couldn't hold all of the retired Flxibles.
Busjack
As I also mentioned a couple of weeks ago about FG. Someone had the theory that they were too broke to drive down, while the possibility may also be to keep around a couple of spares. Anyone inside the garages have any info? Could be some of the group retired before the decommissioning of operables at Archer. Only way to know is if you saw any of the numbers and if they match these... could be too crowded at 77th/Perry and 95th/Ewing with all the TMC's, Flxible 5300's, and NABI's still probably being prepped for scrapping or non-revenue service. With 103rd not too far from these areas, they could've parked them there until space is freed up. qwantae
Yep..... They ran out of room in Archer garage. Thats the only reason they are still at 103rd. What is the Hold up for 7500 NABIs, how come are they still sitting at 103rd and 77th yard? I thought that they were going to be sent back to Alabama Plant? I thought that they were going to be sent back to Alabama Plant? Maybe you should call up NABI and ask them if they were B.S.ing in their press release. You know what odds I put on that. busfan
Not sure about the NABI's. When that one showed up with the cracked articulation joint, Terry Muelner gave the order to park all the NABIS cause they were unsafe to be on the street. If you work Maintenance for CTA Bus you all know who Terry is. He is the one that was fired a few months back for trying to make some deal that would have put a $100,000 cash in his pocket for some extended warranty deal he made with New Flyer.
