No Loop L service this weekend

All Loop L stations will be closed this weekend due to repairs at Tower 18 & Tower 12.

I'm somewhat surprised a State Street Subway Brownage wasn't considered. Would be less of a hassle for anyone unfortunate to be coming downtown from midway with luggage during this weekend, plus could save capacity for the shuttles.

Questions are how much they would clog the subway, and the lack of service on the Brown Line between Fullerton and Mdse Mart. But in analogy to telling riders to transfer from the Pink Line to the Blue at Racine, the grid at the bottom of the Alert suggests that thru riders transfer to the Red Line at Roosevelt or Fullerton. One has to "slash through the underbtush" to get to that advice, but it's there.

The only thing of interest at the Dec. 2025 CT Board meeting was at the very end, where ""Bill Mooney, your Chief Infrastructure Officer" orally reported on the Loop L shutdown, saying that a magnesium part had to be replaced at the Tower 18 junction, and another shutdown will be needed next year for the switch in the other direction.
