qwantae
For some reason #111 bus stops will never be right. Half of the route is not even on the sign, and there are two #111 signs on Monterey west of Vincenns when there should be #112 signs. Also there still haven't been any new signs east on 95th in 10 years. Some are missing and some are unreadable. I'm telling you, I've never ridin #111 yet, but I think it is the most complicating route for CTA, I am comfused of which ones that go to 115th or 111th first to Morgan Park. You're absolutly right. The trick is trips to 111th/Corliss go to Morgan Park going Westbound on 115th and trips to 95th/Redline go to Morgan Park going Westbound on 111th and Eastbound on 115th. It really is nothing but a route with a loop on 111th/115th then CottageGrove to 95th/Redline.

I visited a friend last month who lives on 116th and Throop. Half the 111 signs on the way there are from the 1990's before the 95th/Red Line trips were rerouted from St. Lawrence to King Drive between 115th and 111th. Also the new signs only show the part of the route between the Red Line and just west of 115th and King. They don't show the western most portion of the route that loops from 115th onto Vincennes and then 111th.
BusHunter
I noticed last week someone finally fixed the bus stop sign at Addison/Kilpatrick eastbound. It was formerly a #77 Belmont sign for at least the last 4 to 6 months. Now they need to work on Addison/Kedvale westbound. It presently has an #11 Lincoln sign on it. Also there is one more I know of at Milwaukee/Foster northbound. It has a #56 sign on it.
jajuan
I happened to be riding along South Pulaski with the family Monday afternoon on the way to going out for dinner and noticed that there is a 53 Pulaski bus stop sign northbound at Pulaski and 34th Street. Obviously this should be a 53A sign.
Buslover88
Anyone who passes throught the intersection of Belmont and Kimball at the Blue Line check the SB 82 Kimball bus stop, It is an 85 Central bus stop sign posted. Sorry for bringing this up in a topic that hasn't been used in a month. But last Wednesday, I saw what you saw (CTA5750) at Central and Wellington. Yes folks, the sign is a SB #82. BusHunter
Since we brought up the topic, I'll tell you of something I saw just a day or two ago that would qualify under this topic. There was a nova bus #6754 on Addison that had a front destination sign that said #152 Addison to Central (where I doubt it was heading in the middle of the afternoon) Now the same bus on the side destination sign gave a #81W sign saying it's going to Jeff. Pk. The rear gave a sign for the #81W. Talk about confusing!!!

BusHunter
That is so confusing. I hope they fixed the sign after ... The best thing about the signs. Both were scrolling independent of each other. Neither sign was frozen. I just don't see how that could possibly happen. It's was a real computer mix - up. I've never seen that before. Chicago13
Apparently, the folks who replace bus stop signs at CTA still screw up once in awhile. I was parked in front of the cleaners at 837 N. Milwaukee today (it's just north of the Milwaukee/Elston intersection). The northbound #56 stop is right behind where I parked. When I looked up at the sign the what did I see? A 56A North Milwaukee/270 Milwaukee/Golf Mill combo sign

They might have thought it was the Milwaukee/Elston intersection at 6200 N., not 837.

No doubt that's the reason. But you would think someone on that sign crew would say "Wait a minute! Something ain't right here."
