There was a bus at 103rd like that. #5344 was that bus. Although it was a 103rd bus, it may have ended up at Chicago before it was retired.

I remember seeing that bus on the old 6 Jeffery Express and 14 S Lake Shore Express.

Not speaking about that particular bus, but your generalization is wrong. There are still plenty of 5300s, 4400s, and 5800s sitting in the Perry yard (at least as of last weekend).

I liked that idea, only problem is usually the people who rear-end a bus can't read anyway, don't have insurance or better yet don't have a license! or all of the above :lol:
