Why would Downers' Grove buy old Pace buses that don't seem any better than the Gilligs they had?

Yes they are just as old but the Gilligs had cancer badly.

Are those buses a Flyer D901 or D902 model? The body reminds me a little of a Flyer make.

They're Ikarus, model 416, built 1992.

I guess if its any consolation, we don't have to see those buses for much longer :-p

ATTN NAPERVILLE METRA-FEEDER RIDERS: Due to equipment problems, some of Pace's Naperville-area Metra Feeder routes may be operated using school buses during the evening of January 6 and the morning of January 7.
