Shows what's messed up in the process:  Chicago Tribune: Labor and disability advocates at odds over future of Chicago-area paratransit. Apparently part of the "Labor" RTA bill, the Teamsters representing employees of the paratransit contractors wanted some provision to address the complaint that the Rideshare Access Program"is a way for Pace to outsource union work to gig drivers." Notwithstanding the system is going broke.

Saw a new Coach & Equip paratransit vehicle, 25204, in Arlington Heights on Tuesday.

Are they starting this batch at 25201? I cannot believe there are already 200 of them!

I could be wrong but I don't think there are 200  of them.   I think they start numbering at 200.  What will be interesting is what numbers will be used for the Gillig BEBs.

+Usually XX200s are 11 passenger vehicles, XX000s are 15 passenger, but Pace has been inconsistent before (i.e 16400 community vehicles but 20400 40 ft. buses).

Thanks, that makes sense. I had forgot that as they haven't had 11 seaters since 2014.

Saw 26091 in Arlington Heights on Wednesday evening (4/29).

Makes one wonder what's the difference between that and the 26201s on the Niles Free Bus, which are also stated to be 14 or 15 passenger buses.

26071 at River garage. Not sure why

River Division does its own paratransit. Not contracted out.

14292 is overdue for replacement. 5 year FTA life vehicles don't last 12 years.

But since you say you work at R, why don't you ask your supervisor or dispatcher instead of here?
