Actually only the space around the CTA decal itself has been repainted. You can see where the blue paint doesn't quite match on the stripe. The stripe has to be repainted about a foot farther because these decals are smaller than the former ones. There was a whole bunch of Novas painted with the new decals, (about 55 - 60, I have a list) but for some strange reason work has stopped on that in the last few months. Possibly when the rehabs start in earnest, new decals will continue to be placed on buses. I think this is just preliminary work that was done, similar to when the air conditioners were installed in the #4400's ahead of the actual rehab. How about the ads that are being put on buses, mostly out of North Park and Forest Glen about the garbage company franchises. They do look appropo on the NABI's.
