As of right now here are the D40LF’s that’s status is unknown and have been OOS for at least a week

North Park: None (1116 might be on maintenance hold, that’s supposed to go to Kedzie?)

Forest Glen: 1655, 1636, and 1735

Kedzie: 1748 and 1898

Chicago: 1970(supposedly ghosting), 1954(at SS, no word on retirement or if getting repaired), 2007, 2002(sent to SS 1/14), 1923, and 1975

Almost all of these are either at SS receiving maintenance at this time. The rest are either active with broken trackers such as 2007 or receiving maintenance at there home garages.

2007 is actually retired at FG

New Retirements: 2007, 1748, and 1638.

Along with those mentioned above, these four have left Vincennes Ave and arrived at FG: 1823, 1692, 1828, and 1696.

Whats the number of the NF that was badly wreaked when it was still pretty new and then heavily repaired a few years later during the 1000 series overhaul it was 14-- I think? Wonder is that bus is still running

That was 1482. Remarkably, it is still active at 74th, having run yesterday afternoon and evening.

1482 runs nearly every day and runs good. It once had a number chalked on there up front on the inside as you see on the second picture it’s still there but they recently added new stickers I got a comparison. Must’ve got the new inside number when they changed out the drivers shield

North Park: None (1116 might be on maintenance hold, that’s supposed to go to Kedzie?) (1116 still OOS)

Forest Glen: 1655 (OOS since 01/13), 1636 (OOS since 1/23)

Kedzie: 1748(Retired) and 1898

Chicago: 1954(In Service), 2007(retired), 2002(Retired)), and 1923

1735 and 1975 have since returned back to service. 1970 now has a working tracker.

Along with 1116 (In Service at Kedzie), 1655(at SS waiting repairs), 1636(sitting at FG, appears to be active), 1898, and 1923 (supposedly retired), here's what's Unknown Status as of today 2/15

North Park: 1796, 1893 (Sent to SS 2/13) - Both are Retired

Kedzie: 1699 (Sent to SS 2/12) - unit is retired.

Note: 1744 has a broken tracker as I just saw that in service last week.

I'll visit South Shops tomorrow to find anything new.

1116 is set to return (prob by now is at NP) 1655 should be coming back soon from shops, 1636 is 85% retired.

You’re right with 1655 as I just saw it it’s got its farebox still there it so far appears to be a return possibility.

1806 is now at SS, appears to have broke down on the 50 on Friday and it was just dropped off at SS.

1465 is at SS along with 1473, 1096 and 1104 awaiting repairs.

Updated the retirements and there was a big jump with 3rd/4th options biting the dust with more #8350s entering service. So far I have a headcount of 291 which leaves the fleet at 740 left active. Now baring maintenance of a few the number should reach 300+ by early summer.
