Any idea why? Maybe Metra is taking west towns' suggestion to test a different type of equipment. Wikipedia notes they are "Scheduled to undergo minor overhaul by Bombardier", so a more likely explanation is they are in transit to/from the Bombardier facility. Quote

Unfortunately neither Wikipedia or the MTA official release didn't state what was being done to the cars, or where the work was taking place. Too bad, I was kind of interested. Quote
west towns Posted July 11, 2016 Report Posted July 11, 2016 Just read on trainorders.com the marc cars left chicago on #5 going west . Rumor has it they are going to Pueblo for testi g with spinter electric locomotives. I thought Marc was buying diesel engines? Quote
