cta5658 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I know this was said before in another thread, but where should i look for a newflyer on a 103rd route? Quote
BusExpert32 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I would say that Stony Island is a pretty good street to spot a New Flyer on, only if you wait a really long time for one. The 28 and X28 routes have had a few New Flyers running in the past week. Quote
qwantae Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 #15,#14,#X28. Were they come from another garage or are they brand new ones? Quote
trainman8119 Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 We are up to at least 1444 at 103. Seen on Route 26 on 87th Street today. Quote

The best time to see new deliveries of New Flyers arriving I would say would be saturday mornings coming in on I-90. On many occaisions I have spotted new deliveries heading to the east as well as Chicagos order. Quote
qwantae Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Last Night around 12am, I've seen an 103rd New Flyer #1443 (Rt#15) as a 1st time on Stony Island southbound from 57th, While I was on my 1991 Flxible #5446 (Rt#28) to race to catch that bus for a passenger then made it by 65th beat that bus, I was laughing. Then today at noon, I've saw an NP New Flyer #1437 (Rt#22) running Northbound on Clark by Division(Red Line). Quote

Shouldn't that bus be at North Park because it's an odd numbered one. Quote
jesi2282 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 That is strange, I saw 1443 inside North Park last week. It still had bubble wrap on the front. Quote
busfan4022 Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 He probably mistaken the number, seeing as though it was 12am. 1448 perhaps? Quote
cta5658 Posted September 23, 2007 Author Report Posted September 23, 2007 I saw #1436 On the #106 At the 95th Terminal Quote
nflyer22 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I know this was said before in another thread, but where should i look for a newflyer on a 103rd route? You could try the #2 Hyde Park Express because I saw bus 1444 operating today as #2 at around 9:15 AM going southbound at State & Harrison. Quote

This morning, I've saw 4 of New Flyers with Couple Archer Novas running on Rt. 26 on South side. But I have a question, I've saw NF #1431 also on Rt#26 this morning, was that bus from Chicago Ave? And did they transfer more TMC #4600s from 103rd to 77th Garage, because I've seen more 4600s on #79 and 87. Quote

About the 4600s, this would be a logical explanation (4600s from 103rd to 77th) because there have been no recent sightings of any 4400s getting scrapped from North Park or 103rd and 77th garage would be the way to go because remember, 77th transferred 11 New Flyers to North Park in March 2007 and a few 6400s to Chicago garage a while before that. 77th, however did not recieve any buses in return in any of these recent swaps. It seems that they are trying to get the bus total at 77th back at what it was at about a year ago. Also, remember that at this point no 4400s have retired unless they're in terrible condition and with the new New Flyers coming in to North Park and 103rd, a few TMCs from there have been going to 77th referring to qwantae's sighting of an increased number of 4400s on #79 and #87. Also, please excuse me for not mentioning that 77th had also transferred a few 7500s to North Park. And once again recieved nothing in return. Another reason why 77th is now recieving 4400s from other garages. Quote

And once again recieved nothing in return. That statement would be incorrect. When the articulated buses were transferred from 77th to North Park, an equal number of 40-footers were transferred from North Park to 77th. Quote
jajuan Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 I hope NF #1473 goes to N.P. I believe it already has. If I'm not mistaking I saw it last Friday night operating as a 22 Clark. Quote
