busfan2847
That bus s being used by Free Enterprise I see almost evrhyday with a Northwestern sign they run bus service for the university between downtown the university and Metra stations Free Enterprise seem to have a batch of Gillig LF buses (29735-29740) used on Chicago Metra routes as well as the new Gillig BRT for the rebid Northwestern Campus services from 9/1/2011. I saw BRT 29729 last night implying they have at least 29723-29729. The Northwestern document I found said one of the BRT is hybrid for the Ryan Field, Evanston to Chicago Campus Shuttle. Anyone have any idea where the Gillig Low Floors came from - I assume they are not new?
Busjack
Anyone have any idea where the Gillig Low Floors came from - I assume they are not new? I wouldn't, since the BRT models are not that prevalent (RGRTA said they cost more) and certainly not near their 12 year service lives. Busjack
Looking at novabus.com, I didn't see anything on the SEPTA rumor. However, you can purchase a scale model Nova from them for $79.95. No indication that you can get them in CTA colors.
