Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Harlem and Rosemont, resulting in minor delays. After leaving Merchandise Mart, Purple Line trains will first stop at Washington/Wells and make all stops throughout the Loop. After leaving Clinton, Pink Line trains will first stop at Washington/Wells and make all stops throughout the Loop. Service Interruption Update(6:04p) Service continues with major delays for all Loop-bound trains due to the switching issues at the Van Buren/Wabash junction. The Purple Line service has been suspended until further notice. Use the Red Line service from Howard for continuing Purple Line service to Linden. Service Interruption Update(8:19p) Service has resumed fully on the Pink Line. Service has resumed with residual delays on the Brown, Green and Orange Lines. (Story) Service Interruption Update: Service on the Brown, Green, and Orange Lines are operating normally. However, service on the Pink Line is operating with minor delays and is continuing to be rerouted on the Outer Loop tracks(Brown). With the afternoon just about over, this reroute might continue into the evening and perhaps some or all of Sunday, 12/9/12 as well. Sheridan Station:: At Sheridan, Howard-bound trains will stop at their normal platform, but board/exit trains on the outer tracks instead of the inner tracks.
