OMSI 2 (Chicago Midwestern Edition) W.I.P

Recommended Posts

Over the last several months of revamping and expanding so many parts of the map, it has really dawned on me that this is nearly close to what Chicago is in real life to a degree, and since it is my hometown I might as well give this map a new name to represent what a virtual Chicago would look like through my lens and creativity. A majority of the routes in the map resemble routes from Chicago Transit Authority and Pace in some form along with each of many neighborhoods also representing parts of Chicago's rich culture and history.

Yeah we'll have to keep our fingers crossed on that. ?

That might be around the time they have to start ordering electric buses. Does Nova or anyone else make electric artics. (Maybe byd but I dont care for those) All these other companies like Proterra are cheating themselves out of that market. If cta doesnt order electrics in full they should order some experimental buses.

I'm surprised that Nova doesn't make electric LFSA's but as far as the other manufactures go anything is possible.

Between all 4 north american bus manufactuers (New Flyer, Nova, Gillig, Eldorado), all but Eldorado offer electric buses, but only New Flyer offers electric arrtics

That XDE60 and those ballard buses are amazing! And seeing the novabus on the 156 as well! What is that Pace Route 319 inspired by? Also nice to see that OmniRide bus, reminds me of my adopted home!

Thank you, the 319 was an older route that I reconfigured but yeah it isn't based off of PACE but more so off of the old Midway/1-55 express routes.

@YoungBusLover what are the full dependencies for present version? As far as I can tell, I have everything that Vtransitcenter says is needed, but I get nothing but blue sky after installing as directed.

The download was setup in 7 parts for the scenery objects to be manually extracted and moved into the sceneryobjects folder. However, a lot users had issues understanding they had to manually install the folders.
