a lot of broken artics i saw at South shops and boneyard today:

boneyard I saw #4082, #4105, #4106, #4153, #4163, and #4173 from the street.

at South shops I saw a lot of artics:

#4008 was tracked at Howard on the 147 yesterday, never went into service, immediately got replaced by a D60LFR.

#4008 has sat at SS for over a year and was last seen in service 4/29/2025

#4200 was driving down Kedzie around 8:40pm last night heading south, this could possibly have taken its final ride to SS? It’s got a bad rust spot on the rear

There needs to be an updated list of all artics officially retired. I spotted 4135 in the boneyard without a bike rack.

#4016 is back on the road after being at South shops for nearly a year. Need status on #4066 with identical wrap as to 4016

A 99% chance this is a loaner but I’m on 4107 on the 3 King Drive downtown heading northbound. Even the operator on a 6 Jackson Park Express was looking confused when he saw the artic on the 3. An artic being loaned to a route that doesn’t operate artics is a bit random.

These days it is odd.  When 77th had the NABI article, it wasn't unusual for three or four articles to run on the 3, though most of their artics ran on the 6 before that route was returned to 103rd.Perhaps with APTA in town and the 3 serving McCormick Place....
