That's a negative, NP is still in line to receive more in the future. C getting some more does make sense for the time being as they are still losing #1930s-#2020s due to rust. Good riddance to the 1930s to 2020s due to their horrible sideways seats! 1

This statement is a lie. the novas can’t be scattered anywhere they have designated garages assigned.

They can be designated around the system. All that was asserted was that they were not in numerical blocks. For instance, 8753 8755-8758, 8761, 8763, 8764, 8766-8771 ended up at NP, but 8772 didn't, 8773 did but 8774-8776 didn't, 8778 did, 8779 didn't. If, as in the old days, they were assigned in numerical blocks, NP would receive all of 8753 to maybe 8822. So far, it hasn't.

Yes they are skipping random units. 77th had retained 790X-7999 for 10 years. Garages usually assign around 100 whatever amount of buses all in numerical order. This could be a bit unrelated but for example Chicago Garage assigned 1930-2029 before the rusting problem became worse

They've been assigned amongst their assigned garages in a chaotic order from the moment they first started arriving two years ago. Reassignments of the D40LFs due to displacement by incoming 8350s, for replacement of D40s that got retired because of poor condition, or both have led to numerical sequences of the 1000s currently still in service to be in a similar chaotic order.
