BusExpert32
Wow! A 6000 at Forest Glen with the www.visitmexico.com ad wrap. I've got to check this out. Ad wraps (especially colorful ones like this) look cool on Flxibles or any other high floor bus. If finally saw that 6000 Flxible with the www.visitmexico.com ad wrap today on the #81 Lawrence; it was #6023. Also, a Nova with the same ad wrap was also on the #81 today, and it was #6783. The ad wrap does look good for a high floor bus though (#6023). Then I saw this ad wrap again on a Chicago Garage Nova and that was #6689 on the #66 Chicago today. Finally, a Nova out of the 77th Garage has the Chex Chocolate Cereal ad wrap as well; was running on the #6 Jackson Park Express on October 8. qwantae
For those of you into ad wraps, bus 4522 has some red ad wrap for some TV channel. I could've sworn that it was 4540 with red wrap for Fox TV w/ 2 guys on it on the back of the bus. And I've found another TMC with green wrap with La Salle bank on it 3 weeks ago ran eastbound on Monroe past State, but Couldn't remember the bus #. BusExpert32
I couple of weeks ago I just noticed that the Optimas have no advertisements what so ever, but they would look good with an ad wrap though. I remember seeing a Nova out of Forest Glen with the Home Depot wrap on the #85 Central, but that was way back in the summer of 2006. I thought they had gotten rid of it by now. About the Lasalle Bank ad wraps, I remember a 5800 with this wrap out of North Park and a 1000 out of Kedzie with it as well. Haven't seen them since. But I never would have thought that the Lasalle bank wrap would be on a TMC. I haven't seen a TMC with an ad wrap in a pretty long time, got to check this out. busfan4022
What about the "Byk-Rak" advertisements? I have only seen them on Archer's 1000. I don't know if they are anywhere else.
BusExpert32
For those of you into ad wraps, bus 4522 has some red ad wrap for some TV channel. Even though I haven't seen the 4400 with this "Fox TV Channel" ad wrap yet, I have seen a Nova out of Forest Glen with this ad wrap today on the 56 Milwaukee, so I do know how it looks like at least, and on a Nova. It would look pretty good on a 4400, if I get to see it. However, I couldn't get the number of that Nova out of Forest Glen today, so if anyone knows it, you can fill us in. I do know; however, that it isn't an ad wrap specifally for Fox, this red wrap is advertising the "Morning Show with Mike and Juliet on Fox". I like how Forest Glen is getting more ad wrapped buses. BusExpert32
Well, I saw the "www.visitmexico.com" ad wrap on a Kedzie Nabi, couldn't get the number though. BusExpert32
Chicago Avenue garage now got a new advertisements on the bus for the Chicago Bulls. Do you know the bus types and numbers? I do know that Chicago Garage has one Nova (#6689) ad wrapped in the "www.visitmexico.com" ad wrap. jajuan
I've seen an increasing number of Flyers from Archer and Kedzie with transitchicago.com painted above the windows, including among the 800s and 900s. I'm guessing we'll be seeing that more on Flyers that don't have ads placed above the windows.
Buslover88
#6023 out of Forest Glen garage was spotted with the new byk-rak advertisement. This seems to be the only bus there with it. For now, anyway.
BusExpert32
#6023 out of Forest Glen garage was spotted with the new byk-rak advertisement. This seems to be the only bus there with it. For now, anyway. No way. It looks like the CTA is removing those cool "www.visitmexico.com" ad wraps from their buses and replacing them with these new ones for Byk-Rak and Fox. #6023 had the www.visitmexico.com wrap for a couple of months, too bad they changed it. I wonder if they took it off #6783 as well.
jesi2282
Not yet, 6783 still has the ''www.visitmexico.com'' ad wrap on, I saw it yesterday afternoon on the #152.
BusExpert32
Not yet, 6783 still has the ''www.visitmexico.com'' ad wrap on, I saw it yesterday afternoon on the #152. You're right, I saw #6783 with the ''www.visitmexico.com" ad wrap still on today while working route #91 Austin at Jefferson Park. Two Nabis out of North Park also have this ad wrap still on- #7621 and #7714. Both were operating on the #147 Outer Drive Express today. ArcherRider
I Saw Nova Bus #6741 with the ad for Chicago Bulls game tickets on #20 Madison.
BusExpert32
Nova #6777 out of Forest Glen has the "Morning Show with Mike and Juliet on Fox" ad wrap. I saw #6777 working route #68 Northwest Hwy. today at Jefferson Park Blue Line.
BusExpert32
I Saw Nova Bus #6741 with the ad for Chicago Bulls game tickets on #20 Madison. I must concur to this statement from my experiences today. I saw #6741 working route #76 Diversey today with the red Chicago Bulls game tickets ad wrap. In other news, I think that all of the Optimas out of Forest Glen now have the same advertisement (I don't know what's being advertised) on the side of the bus. So they are finally recieving some types of advertisements.
BusHunter
There seems to be a new kind of ad wrap advertizement on Chicago Novas and North Park TMC's for the Jersey Boys. The wrap extends between the front and back axles and from the roofline through the windows to the bottom of the bus. It doesn't look to bad on the Novas, but the TMC's window framing makes it kind of hard to see the advertizement unless you are on a dead 90 degree angle. jajuan
Rode 6502 on 6 Jackson Park Express today and noticed it has 'www.transitchicago.com' painted above the windows. Looks like the NOVAs will be sporting the website just like the 1000s now.
