jajuan
I thought that Archer been got rid of Amber Novas back to Forest Glen since they got 77ths, I never saw any Amber Nova since back then when 77th got more Ambers from FG. This is crazy with all this shuffling. But I wish 103rd can get some of Novas. But I was glad to see some of them back on #72 North Ave (Temporary) during the Air Water Show. With the second set of NFs currently swapping or retiring out 103rd's remaining 1991 buses, I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing Novas there outside of a temporary loan here and there. BusHunter
Forest Glen does not have Nova #6832 because it was in accident so FG have only 157 NOVA bus. Also #6738 and #6726 haven't appeared since the transfer of March 2008 to FG. Oddly enough they were not on the roster when they were transferred over. This could either mean they are long term holds or retired. ( Maybe there at south shops. ) Let's just say for now they are MIA.
nflyer22
Am I seeing things or is 6508 really on the #48 when I caught this today...? UPDATE: It must be a loaner, seeing how I looked through all the other 74th routes, and haven't seen another Nova out there. Sorry to have caused everyone to go all wild . BusHunter
Well I finally caught up with #6552 this week on the #152. Remember when RMadison said that the seating arrangement was different on this bus. No kidding!! It's different alright. It's a seatless bus. (sort of) The bus has a few seats missing similar to what #3321 the brown line railcar has. You know all the seats that face forward across from the backdoor. (seating for 8) Well they are gone and this is a standing area now complete with strap arm hangers. When I saw the bus it's operator was closely trailing a #6000 in front of it. nflyer22
This morning I saw 6786 operating on the #22 Clark at 7:37 AM at Harrison-Polk, then making a run back up north. It still had an "F" sticker on front, so it probably was a loaner.
jajuan
I saw 6882 on the 3 King Drive last night with an interesting dark colored ad wrap over the entire bus. I didn't get a chance to see exactly what or who was being advertised because being along the Mag Mile, it speeded past like other King Drive buses have been known to do on this stretch of Michigan Ave and the 147 I was on at the time couldn't catch up to it long enough. Does anyone else know what the ad might be for? I'm just curious about it.
BusExpert32
#6777 out of FG also has a dark ad wrap for some kind of new labtop or electronic gadget or something, but I'm really not sure.
BusHunter
#6777 out of FG also has a dark ad wrap for some kind of new labtop or electronic gadget or something, but I'm really not sure. That's HDNA, a new notebook computer made by sony. It also is on #6756 and recently has appeared on #6869. Before that I believe it's debut was on various #5800's. BTW, 77th seems to be getting more amber novas from FG. I seen #6864 on the #6 two days ago.
BusExpert32
Here's an updated list of what I believe to be the current Nova assignment. 77th: 6400-6454, 6481-6520, 6858-6883 (121 total) Archer: 6455-6480, 6521-6708 (214 total) Forest Glen: 6709-6725, 6727-6737, 6739-6831, 6833-6857 (145 total) list edited: 7/30/09 Just now I saw (via Bustracker) buses 6851 and 6856 running on Cottage Grove out of 77th. Is this a recent swap?
ArcherRider
Because I saw #6852 this morning on #6. and now Archer Garage got NOVA bus #6470 to 6480 and #6521 to #6707.

I'll try to update this again (but more help would be appreciated): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 77th: 6400-6469, 6481-6520, 6851-6883 (143 total) Archer: 6470-6480, 6521-6707 (198 total) Forest Glen: 6708-6725, 6727-6737, 6739-6831, 6833-6850 (139 total) list edited: 8/6/
Busjack
OK. I'll try to update this again (but more help would be appreciated): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 77th: 6400-6469, 6481-6520, 6851-6883 (143 total) .... Forest Glen: 6708-6725, 6727-6737, 6739-6831, 6833-6850 (139 total) list edited: 8/6/09 From that, it appears that FG is up net about 11 from what it earlier had (especially notable for those under 6756, although they lost 6851-6883 at the top of the series, and apparently they have one green dot sign one if 6708 is correct), and also up the 6 or so NFs. If one assumed a base of 117 for 77th (based on what it had about 2001), it would be up about 26 from that. I assume most of this is because it is short artics, and some will move if and when more artics. are received. Archer would seem to be short, even if you add in the 30 Optimas. Of course, whatever buses are out for rehab would be deducted.

What's the other one no longer in service? I don't see a gap in the numbers that would show the number of the fourth one. Actually never mind, I found the discrepancy. The number of buses you have listed for FG comes out to 140 Novas. (18+11+93+18=140)

jajuan
BusHunter and the CTA source had it down to 480. He had 6568 gone, too. Ok thanks again. So there should be a one bus gap within the grouping of 6521-6707. Now with that detail along with my observation it still adds up. Archer should have one less counted and FG has one more than I was seeing here.
