New Flyer at FG...

The New Flyers are really coming into FG. Alone on #56 Milwaukee are two, 1222 and 1224. On #77 Belmont, there is 1229. 1228 is currently switching over from #68 to #81W West Lawrence. On #152 Addison, there is 1227, currently around Harlem. On #91, there is 1230. 1233 is on #90 Harlem and 1226 is on #81 Lawrence.

The lowest numbered NF I've seen on a Forest Glen route so far is #1222 and the highest number is #1233. It looks like that 1223 (is this at FG yet?), 1225 (is this at FG yet?), 1231 (is this at FG yet?) and 1232 aren't out today.

The lowest at FG is indeed #1222 for now, since #1221 is on the 8 right now.

The ones that had "Training Bus" placards and C windshield tags on Elston were 6712 and 6715. Actual deliveries started around 6756. Whether there were earlier loans, I don't know.

I'm still guessing that 77th is being set up for 4000s (maybe over 4200), but how it is set up is a matter of conjecture. 77th and NP are the two that didn't get the 40 some allocations of 6000s from 74th or previously had 6000s. (I'm assuming that the intent at Archer was to keep it all Nova.)

#6658 was on the #54A and 5750 was driving it according to what he said in the history of #9800's thread. My view was a physical sighting with his being his memory of driving it. I remember it was two weeks prior to #6762 showing up at the Glen. For some strange reason the first I heard of #6756 it was on the #36 as a loaner along with up to #6760 at NP. They soon came back to the glen about a week or two later. So far it seems the #1000's to Fg are the direct result of #4063 - #4071 odds (this weekend) now at Kedzie.

I do recall having taken a photograph of #6658 while on a layover at the Skokie Crthse. Today there was slew of New Flyers at Jeff. Pk. Almost all the NF at FG were departing on the 81W, 56, 91 and 81 routes. What I havent noticed yet if the garage id stickers have been put on. Has anyone noticed that yet?

Good Morning, I was studying at my school all night in Downtown. This morning around 4:30, I not sure if it was a first trip of 56-Milwaukee from Jefferson park, but I spotted #1224 that time going eastbound on Washington/ Franklin at Loop, my first time seeing NF from FG.

At 4:30, that would be the third or fourth trip on #56. #56 starts again at 3:30. Anyway, that's cool you got to see 1224 on #56. And, to everyone else, 1227 and 1229 are also on #56 today.

NF's 1222, 1224, 1226-1233 are definitely at FG right now. However, 1225 is still at Kedzie (it's on the #7 Harrison right now). Anyone know about where NF 1223 is?

I'm wondering where #1223 is too. I haven't seen it at FG routes. Also, I think #1225 should be transfered to FG since #1222, #1224, #1226-1233 are there.

#1223 is still at Kedzie; it's currently on the 12 Roosevelt.

NF's 1220, 1221, 1223, and 1225 are still at Kedzie.

That means only 10 buses got sent to FG instead of the 12 that was thought. 1222-1233 except buses 1223 and 1225. That could possibly change this weekend of course since transfers seem to happen on weekends. Any word of if the trade of some NFs will shift focus to 77th as previously rumored would happen in exchange for 6000s to even those numbers? FG getting NFs did happen as rumored though the first ones ended up coming from Kedzie as Kedzie got a bit of overflow of 4000s from NP when the first new stimulus artics arrived. I still think with CTA getting only 58 confirmed new arctics so far, the focus would have to shift to getting southside arctic numbers back up really soon thus necessitating 40 foot swaps from out south.

I think #1223 is one of those with the titan signs. #1225 may be one too. For some reason I don't think they want those out of the loop quite yet. That being said most of the lower #1200's buses below #1221 have the signs too. So it should be interesting to see what they pick up next from Kedzie.

I think the reason those buses with the electronic (titan) billboards are still at Kedzie is because those buses can travel on more high-exposure routes like 151, 156 and 145. The only FG route that goes to the loop is 56, so FG buses travel on lower-exposure routes, making those electronic billboards less effective if they were exposed on those routes.

Since Kedzie's New Flyers are better off in the Loop, maybe the next swap would include FG picking up Flxibles from Kedzie. (No, that would be too good for a Flxible fan near FG)

The Glen needs the 1300s from Chicago. And we can get somemore 6000s.
At least from what BusHunter indicates, the reason isn't to get anyone more, but to start the death watch of the worst ones, apparently down at 74th.

Doesn't look like there were any swaps this past weekend. Also, all of FG's New Flyers I saw today still had a "K" sticker (probably means nothing though).
Buses #1224 & #1226 have "F" stickers. I was unable to get a good photograph of their windshields. The photograph of #1233 illustrates it still has a "K" sticker.
