Buslover88
1194 is on #152 Addison right now at Addison and Western. Also, 1197 and 1202 are on #X80 Irving Park Express.
jajuan
Ok, if Kedzie gave away some of the artics it got from NP to 77th, why is it still giving up 1000s to FG? Wouldn't it make more sense to get lower 1200s from 77th at this point?

BusHunter
Ok gang heres what I got went driving around the city this morning to get some air 1192,1196,1199,1203,1207,1209 from Kedzie to Forest Glen 1606 from 103rd to Kedzie Forest Glen got #1192 - #1199, #1202, #1203, #1205, #1207, #1209 and #1214 from Kedzie. So that puts them at 29 #1000's now. There were a few last minute swaps #1214 was at Kedzie and #4120 was at NP on saturday. Also #1191 may be coming over to Fg. I haven't confirmed it yet. Keep a watch out. I'm kind of surprised 77th has 20 artics, (#4061 - #4080) an 11 bus increase, and didn't lose anything in the process. I would think Fg would have to #1245, but maybe it's still coming. BTW, we should all know where the titan #1200's are now. :P
sw4400
I guess this just warrants the question.... oddly enough in limbo-style fashion... How low will the bus #'s go? Will they stop at around 1160? Or will they just keep going down until perhaps 1100?

Will they stop at around 1160? Or will they just keep going down until perhaps 1100? Up to 1162 were at 74th, so as far might be only another 30. But that sort of depends on whether the 4000s swap over the weekend is about it, as far as Kedzie is concerned.

I don't know what to expect after that. It seems now the rest of the stimulus buses will come in at Np and maybe 10 more artics will head south to 103rd. Maybe long term Fg would get the rest of the #1100's from Kedzie when the 140 deferred buses show up, but that's next year most likely. BusHunter
I had a weird sighting on Friday afternoon. I spotted #1955 at Narr/Addison NB with no destination sign like it was out of service. The first thought that came to mind was Is Fg receiving #1900's odds from 77th? There's been a few other things that's got me wondering. 77th receives more buses putting them at a surplus and transfers nothing. I also can't seem to locate #1955 on Bustracker either. Could this be some type of training bus having slightly different components? At first I saw this then dismissed it and now I'm just wondering. It would be cool if it's true, they could use those for the #56's, 77's, and 81's. The #81 especially seems to get a lot of strollers that block the aisles and prevents people from getting to the rear of the bus. These buses could really use some more aisle space. Just something to think about.

chgofan78
1160,1170,1175,1201,1210 still at Kedzie I'm wondering if we will start seeing 1600s at Kedzie with the titan ads. When the prototype bus #1727 moved from Kedzie to 74th, it kept the titan ad. But recently, the ad was removed.

sw4400
I had a weird sighting on Friday afternoon. I spotted #1955 at Narr/Addison NB with no destination sign like it was out of service. The first thought that came to mind was Is Fg receiving #1900's odds from 77th? First, did you mean Friday, Aug. 28th? Or did you mean today, Monday? Secondly, 1955 could be a training bus giving the bus transfer gods the option of transferring Allison Transmission buses to FG in the future from either 77th, Chicago, or North Park. This could be why NP is getting so many of the newer 60-footers... perhaps they will be sending some or all of their Allison Transmission New Flyers to FG after they get trained on how they work... 1930, 1932, 1934, 1936, 1938, 1940, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1948, 1950, 1952, 1954, 1956, 1958, 1960, 1962, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1980. That or perhaps some or all of the D40LF's they have right now will be given to NP in exchange for a few of the DE60LF's, making these D40LF's nothing more than trade material when this option of buses(up to 4207) is completed.

BusHunter
Or how about some Kedzie 6000s go to the scrap heap if and when that occurs instead of switching out more NFs. If we get the 140, you won't have to worry about #6000's no more. I believe alot of the garages that heavily serve downtown will become even more artic like Kedzie, displacing alot of #1000's and at the same time replacing #6000's. Places like Fg will pick up #1000's which could be half and half by then with Novas. Maybe even Archer could be split equally as well too. BTW, I got a chance to see #1220 up close and I'm surprised to report it's not a titan bus. I remember it being one while at Kedzie. It seems to have been removed and an ad rack placed over it. It doesn't seem to show any damage as far as the removal of the other sign (it seems a little bigger than the titan ones) but then the problem could be just simply covered up. Probably the smart thing to do is to just put the Titan signs on artics. For sure they'll be downtown for most of their lives. These #1000's eventual destiny will be with the outlying garages anyway. Yes, Friday the 28th. Remember when Busangel said that #1000's will be heading to Fg from 77th. He didn't say which ones. Until I see some #1240's at Fg I think this could be a possibility. It's a small set of buses 26 in all, just maybe enough to make FG have it's 50 bus quota. CTA has had a pattern of moving different option buses together at a garage. Look at it like this, if it happens it gives longitudinal seating to every garage except 74th and archer which does have #6618.
Buslover88
At about 5:45 this morning, the SB #56 Milwaukee was almost all New Flyers. There was 1198, 1209, 1219 and 1227. There were only two Novas behind those two, and they were 6732 and 6783. I was pretty surprised to see #56 nearly all NF in one direction.
jajuan
Like North Park's New Flyer list, I'm going to use the Bustracker to make a list of all numbers at Forest Glen and add/subtract as needed. 1193,1194,1195,1196,1197,1199,1202,1205,1207,1209,1214,1218,1219,1220,1221,1222, 1224,1226,1227,1228,1229,1230,1231,1232 If I recall, they also got 1233 from Kedzie. It was one of the first to go them. Also missing are 1192 and 1203, a couple of new arrivals to them. From last weekend I think.
