Bit of trivia. I had visual sightings of 6567 and 6569 and noted that the license plates were M1790x. Not only not in sequence, but apparently being reused (as plates now are in the M21xxxx range).

Watch for the next batch of CNGs to start arriving soon. I'm currently in Tulsa Oklahoma and I just saw one going east on I-44. Too far away to see the number. I may take a look at Chandler when I get home.

Good report. Pace said "by summer," but you never know.

Rivers Casino game du jour: Is the next one going to be 15521 or 17500?

That late hunch paid off.

If 17524 is already visible, the deliveries must have been faster than we thought.

Encountered 6517 yesterday. 270 Glenbrook Hosp sign  looked red. Also, had a 1/4 wrap ad, so it does look like it will be this way for awhile.

6519 and 6520 were operating on 270 today. And yes, the signs do look red.

In real life (and not so discernible in the pictures), the headsign is red, but the run number is clearly orange. Also, I don't know why the signs look so grainy in the pictures.

South Division has received some new 17500s in service.  As I checked the WebWatch, I spotted brand new 17500s in service, 17508 on the 350, 17505-06 on the 352, 17500 on the 353, 17502 on the 358, 17504/ 07 on the 364.

So where  are the 15500s?

Out there, too. There were matched pairs on some routes, such as 15508 and 17508.

As I indicated above, the first 2 numbers are a year designation. They didn't scrap the 14000 series paratransits because they now have 16000s.

The bottom line is that S will have 15500-15520 and 17500-17571.

So 17500s not only going to wipe off the Orions, but half of 2003 NABIs as well.

That's about what I figured about Jan. 15, but that depends on how many Orion VIs are now left at West.

Also, it depends on whether you are counting only 40 or also 35 foot buses. The inventory indicated that as of Jan. 2016, there were 90 of 99 40 foot buses, and 70 of 84 35 foot buses. 49 of the 40 foot buses would be 54%, but 49 of the total of 160 buses would be 30%. But I figured that most of the 35 foot buses would be covered either by a new but not advertised contract, or moving buses as a result of the 53 small buses, also not advertised as of yet.

Anyway, Melissa Metzger said that the CNGs would come in time to meet replacement requirements, and that seems correct.
