***Special Service Interruption Alert Update(Blue Line)***

Service Interruption Update(3/29/14 @ 1:02a): Rail Service remains operational with Service Suspended between Rosemont and O-Hare due to the derailment of the train early morning on 3/24/14. The derailed train has been fully removed from the O-Hare station now. Bus Shuttle Service will continue to provide connecting service between O-Hare and Rosemont, while Blue Line service will operate between Forest Park and Rosemont.

The O-Hare station will require extensive repairs upon removal of the derailed train, which will most likely result in Shuttle Bus service continuing until further notice, or single-tracking of both O-Hare and Forest Park-bound trains until further notice, which will result in delays.

The CTA has announced that they anticipate restoring service to O-Hare at some point this weekend. Depending on damage to the station and how long it will take to restore, it might be with delays as trains may need to operate on one track.

Updates will be posted daily until the conclusion of the Service Interruption, which remains TBD...
